Bristol Airport was part of the Airport Commission was officially opened in 1957 by The Duchess of Kent.

With a passenger increase of 44.5% year on year, Bristol International was officially the fastest growing airport in the UK in February 2002.

Travel Instructions for Bristol Airport

Travelling from the North
Join the M5 and exit at Junction 18 (signposted A4 Bristol & Airport). Take the A4 towards Bristol and connect with the A38 towards Taunton. Bristol International is situated 8 miles south of the city on the A38.

Travelling from the South
Join the M5, exit at Junction 22 and take the 3rd exit signposted A38 at the roundabout. At the East Brent roundabout, joining the A370, take the 2nd exit signposted A38 and airport. The airport is situated on your left after approximately 11 miles.

Travelling from the East
Take the M4 and exit at Junction 20 for the M5 southbound. Join the M5 and exit at Junction 18 (signposted A4 Bristol & Airport). Take the A4 towards Bristol and connect with the A38 towards Taunton. Bristol International is situated 8 miles south of the city on the A38.
